Not all realtors are making use of blog posts, but did you know that having blog posts do not only showcase your real estate expertise but also help your website become more searchable online?

By adding more content with relevant keywords on your website, you increase the chances of search engines being able to crawl your site and show it to the search results.

It also allows you to have content you can use on your emails and social media accounts!

So today, we decided to share some tips to help you write a blog post that will showcase your expertise and educate your audiences.

1. Plan our blog post by choosing a topic within your expertise and conducting research. Although you know the ins and outs of your expertise, it is great to research for the latest information and check facts to make sure that you provide the most accurate information to your audiences.

2. Headlines matter! Now that you have chosen a topic, it's time to think about how you can catch the attention of your audiences. Having a catchy, informative headline can surely draw your audiences to read the blog.

3. Write your post! You can either write a draft in a single session or write several drafts in separate sessions, then put them all together. What's important is for you to be able to convey your thoughts and provide accurate information to your readers.

4. Images can surely enhance your blog post. Choose an image or images that are related to your content, either to improve its flow, add humor, or explain complex topics. Sample images can be from simple single photo images to memes and flowcharts.

5. Once you have patched things up together, it's time to check the elements of your blog post. Go through your content once again and make necessary edits. Some of the things you can do are:

  • Have someone read the blog and give you feedback

  • Make sure that there is no repetition

  • Keep the sentences short, simple, and sweet - enough for readers to understand the blog even if they are not English (or any other language) majors

  • Read the post aloud to check the flow. Does it sound good? Or awkward?

Doing this by yourself can surely take some time but is worth it. Now, if you want to incorporate weekly blog posts and newsletters into your marketing efforts and need a hand, you can always hire a virtual assistant to help you out!
