Lead generation is usually handled by your marketing team. This is where you make efforts to get the contact information of your target audiences. This can be done in many forms some of which are the following:
1. Real Estate Tools
2. Social Media
3. Website

Most real estate tools already provide the contact information of most leads, already ready for prospecting. Most of these tools provide seller leads information such as FSBOs, Expireds, Just Listed, etc.
Some of the tools are:
Social media lead generation can attract both buyer and seller leads but is most powerful in generating buyer leads as the majority of people in social media are searching for homes to buy. Here are some lead generation strategies you can use:
1. Getting your social media channels active to gain more followers - this way, you have more people exposed to your listings posts.
2. Create a "lead magnet" and post it on your social media platform and/or social media groups. This can be a free e-book about home buying, or it can be in a form of contests. The goal is for you to get them to contact you, or leave their contact info for your prospecting team.
3. Social media ads. This is very powerful as you get to reach out to more people outside your current audiences. You get to have the option to specifically target those whom you want to see your ads. Facebook for one, has a lead generation ad campaign available.
Website leads are where you get people to sign up for your newsletter when they visit your website. Some tactics you can use are:
1. Pop-ups. The pop-up on the site contains a form where they can leave their contact information. It can be as simple as inviting them to receive your newsletters, or you can make some twists and offer some sorts of discounts or coupons. Probably have them join a certain contest? Imagination is the limit!
2. Powerful real estate websites ask for the contact information of their visitors the moment they look at a property.
3. Having a section specifically for those who would like to sell their homes and a free home valuation section.
4. We personally like sites that have a static contact us section at the bottom of each of their web pages. This provides convenience for your site visitors and a powerful way to generate leads.
