Are you familiar with content marketing? It is where you focus on creating valuable and relative content which serves as a marketing funnel for your business. Usually, in the form of blogs, videos, podcasts, books, infographics, and photos.

Is it similar to social media? Yes, but not entirely. The things you post on social are part of content marketing efforts, but content marketing isn't limited to that.

You can send your content through emails, your website - for some, even via SMS!

Content marketing has now become one of the essentials when it comes to acquiring new clients.

With the boom of the internet, people are now more selective as different businesses fight for their attention. All it takes for them to validate someone's credibility is a Google search or a social search.

Your content will surely make an impact with their choice.

For example, you are a client and you have two realtors calling you both asking you to take advantage of their services..

When you looked up the first one - no website, social media almost empty - no client testimonials..

While the second one has a stunning website, social media full of sold items, and legit reviews from real clients..

Which one would you choose?

We bet the latter!

That only shows how important your content is and why you should be strategic in posting your content.

Here are 3 tips to help you with your content marketing:

1. Identify who your target audience is. You may have heard of this a thousand times, but it's true that you can't market to EVERYONE.

You have to identify your audiences so your content is aligned with what they want. Are you targeting Millenials? What specific traits do these Millenials have? What's their salary bracket? Or maybe you can find out what they like, their occupation, etc.

2. Find topics that your target audience may be interested in learning. Here are some tools you can use to find out popular search items for certain topics:

This is going to help you create content that is engaging for your target people.

3. Strategize your when to release your content. For social media, there should be a mix of real estate, who you are, and what they want.

Too much about real estate may bore your audience because people, in general, connect to someone whom they know they have something in common.

Too much posting about you may entertain some of your target audience but definitely not everyone - plus you need to show proof of your work.

Too much posting about what your audience wants may confuse them about which services you offer. Imagine going to a fast-food page with the majority of their posts are about football games and less of the food. Doesn't look quite right.

Hope this helps!
